Michael R. Brennan - Since 2010

Michael is Of Counsel to the Law Office of Leslie Robert Evans & Associates in Palm Beach, Florida, specializing in transactional law, particularly relating to real estate and business.
Prior to joining the firm in January, 2005, Michael was Assistant General Counsel – Real Estate, heading up the Real Estate Legal Department for Office Depot, where he had worked since 1998. In addition to Office Depot, he was also in-house counsel for Service Merchandise Company and Melville Corporation. For almost twenty-five (25) years, Michael has represented many national retail tenants in commercial lease negotiations and other real estate and business related matters, among them Linens ‘n Things, Bob’s Stores, Kay-Bee Toys, Service Merchandise, Office Depot, PetSmart, and Western Beef Supermarkets, as well as small and mid-sized developers of projects anchored by Walgreens, CVS, and Publix Super Markets.
Michael received his B.A. degree from Boston College and his J.D. degree from Pace University. He is a member of the bar of the State of Connecticut.
While he has represented some very large organizations over the years, Michael finds nothing more professionally rewarding than using his energy and experience to help individuals achieve their dreams of opening or expanding their own small businesses.

Steven Cheung - Since 2010

Steven is the Operations Manager for the family business, Cheung’s Trading Company, which was founded in 1985. An excellent example of diversification, they also staff two full time traditional Chinese health practitioners offering services such as nutritional counseling, fire cupping therapy and acupuncture.
With Steven’s creation of strategic alliances, cross promotion partnership and aggressive marketing methods Cheung’s has become the largest Chinese Herbal Wellness store, stocking over 1,500 products, in southwestern Ontario. The store was a finalist for the prestigious Windsor Essex Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Award in 2008 and 2009.
Steven is a graduate of the University of Windsor’s Business Administration program with a major in marketing.
Steven contributes valuable information about the benefits of Chinese herbs, as well as, how to successfully market and operate a holistic retail and service business.

Mark G. DiCowden - Since 2010

Mark DiCowden is a trial lawyer who serves companies and individuals in the areas of healthcare and other related industries. Mark’s practice is dedicated to representation involving compliance and risk management issues, medical staff credentialing, peer review, and governmental investigations and prosecutions brought by the United States, State of Florida, Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), and the Department of Health. In addition to his litigation practice, Mark is also a skilled problem-solver who searches for cost-effective and creative solutions to help clients achieve results consistent with their business objectives.
Mark attended New York University for his undergraduate studies and St. Thomas University School of Law for his Juris Doctor degree. He is a member of the Florida Bar and is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida in addition to regularly practicing in Federal Court.
Other than legal representation, Mark’s other healthcare related activities include serving as the Chair for the AHCA sponsored Managed Care Ombudsman Committee (MCOC) for Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. The MCOC is designed to serve as an advocate for consumers with managed healthcare plans. MCOC members help by contacting managed care plans on behalf of their subscribers to resolve grievances through negotiation and education.
Mark is also a member of Florida’s Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Program. He co-authored a chapter in the book Humanizing Health Care, Vol. I, Risk Prevention and Patient Protection in Integrative Healthcare, (Ilene Serlin ed., Praeger Press 2007.) Mark maintains adjunct facility status at Florida Atlantic University, where he teaches Health Law to students in the Health Administration program. He also serves as a Director for a non-profit organization committed to raising money for programs that assist indigent individuals attain medical services.
